Jon’s love of all things metal began at the early age of 13 when he began repairing automobiles and painted his first vehicle. His love for cars evolved into a love of racing and his mud racing team won the NMRO Championship in 1999.
Jon’s journey into the professional world of metal fabrication and design began with his role as the Shop Manager at Holland Sheet Metal. This initial position taught him the fundamentals of effective metal fabrication, design and problem-solving skills that would prove invaluable throughout his career. Eager to expand his horizons, he embraced every opportunity to learn from colleagues and supervisors.
After gaining substantial experience in metal fabrication and design, Jon began doing side work designing home layout blueprints.
In 2003 Jon began working as a Design Engineer at EMH Systems in Saugatuck, MI. His innovative designs had the ability to solve customer’s capacity issues. In the fall of 2005 Holly was hired as Engineering Coordinator at EMH Systems. Jon and Holly worked on several projects together building prototypes. It quickly became apparent that they worked well together and remained friends for the next 18 years. In the beginning of 2023 friendship blossomed into love and by the following year they were married.
Holly brings 30 years of business management, bookkeeping and engineering experience.
Jon is very involved with the community. From 2008 to 2012 Jon served on the Kalamazoo Harbor Committee, 2012 to 2016 he served as Saugatuck Township Trustee, and he was Saugatuck Township Supervisor 2016-2018.
In their free time Jon and Holly enjoy being on the lake, enjoying the outdoors. Jon and Holly have 3 sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
